...British cops are under even more pressure than they ordinarily would be to arrest someone, ANYONE...to calm the public. It isn't difficult to convince yourself that the fellow over there looks "suspicious"...and we can see that it's enough to act suspiciously, in the shooter's eyes, to get yourself shot. I recall with what conviction Geraldo Rivera spoke about the innocent Brazilian British cops shot...that since he was living in the same building as the suspects they wanted...they were justified in shooting him dead...you can understand why, in this kind of atmosphere, someone innocent would run from such cops.

Suspects know what they're in for. They can be jailed indefinitely...they can be held in secret locations with no access to lawyers..no family visits...under the complete control of people desperate to find someone they can pin the thing on...and this can go on for as long as the cops want. And, if one day they let the guy go...TV commentators will smile ruefully into the camera and say..."police let him WALK". Which is code for a guilty person...someone the cops KNOW to be guilty, was set free because of liberals...liberals who want to keep our own governments from becomming tyrannical.

It won't hit home until the children of the good people start being rounded up...people who thought their blind support for their government's policies bought them immunity, because they were GOOD...and surely their children would be just as good.

It ALWAYS starts out this way...at first the most obviously "bad" people will be the targets..and people will forget that justice under the law is a PRINCIPLE first...not an entitlement for you and your friends...that if it doesn't exist as an overiding principle then it's just a whim of those in power...something they abuse when it benefits them.

Later...once law and common procedure have been changed...they'll come looking for the next people they need to target and blame...no one in Germany was a MONSTER...they were normal Christians. To call them monsters and an aberration...something that could NEVER happen again is to make certain that it will...it never starts out as a full blown Nazi takeover...it's ALWAYS couched in terms such as to lead people to believe they are being made MORE secure...or that these are only emergency measures and everything will be relaxed once the "crisis is over"..the crisis won't BE over...the people leading government made their killing and assumed power BECAUSE of the "crisis"...the crisis is their BEST FRIEND and they aren't about to let go of it...and anything they can do to prolong it is in their INTEREST!
