...I don't know why they were "appalled". Anyway, the Muslims were surprised, over the two hundred year history of the Crusades, to see how often Orthodox Greek Christians, Roman Latin Christians and the Armenian "Separated" Christians either attacked each other or took sides with Muslim armies to slaughter the other side.
