..it isn't a pretty sight...but if you discount nine-tenths of what he presents as "analysis" which is nothing more than what he doesn't like about other assyrians, you're left with the sum total of his nationalism...which is based on what he thinks he is owed as the lineal descendant of the ancient Assyrians...that argument hasn't worked for Native Americans and it won't work for him.

He relies on the constitution Paul Bremmer forced down Iraqi throats. Anyone who assumes he's analyzing anything when he says that Iraq must live up to that document is being foolish. Iraqis know, if he doesn't, that they had little choice in the matter...they know that it's a dead letter waiting on the occupation forces to leave before it gets shredded and burned...therefore to base anything on what that constitution "promised" is to, at least, be consistantly foolish.

His other bugaboo is that Kenna was "elected"...to what besides a meaningless government propped up by foreign weapons and occupation? How can he represent anyone outside of Iraq INSIDE of Iraq? He can make all the demands he wants to...he can yell at all the people he wants to...at the end of the day, even if all assyrians united under him, he'd have no more power to get them anything than he does now because their numbers don't warrant any consideration beyond what the Shi'aa or Kurds wish to extend to them..and the same will be true, even more so, for Magpie's parliament. These people are not PLAYERS..they're all on the sidelines screaming at each other and begging the West to do something for them.

Aprim's insights aren't political...he uses phrases that seem to be political...but they're all based on wishes...on hot air, on "promises" on non-existant "power" as a "representative" of the assyrian people...none of which has any meaning to Iraqis and Kurds...as they KEEP demonstrating...even while Aprim "analyizes" some more.
