These people had no troubles preserving their language and it just proves that being Muslim does not mean forget your native language. Here is a video about Aramaic Muslims and Christians who live in the same town in Syria. They speak the original and old Aramaic dialect.

But of course we won't hear this from Fred Aprim since according to him his "Assyrian" ancestors were hidding in mountaims to preserve their identity hile everywhere else people were just fine, but then again, if I were an asshole, I would have reasons to be hidding in mountains too and especially if I were a afraid of my own shadow. Then again, I am not a coward nor would I run from anyone. I rather bring my enemy down with me and if he is attacking me to kill me, I will try to kill him with me too but never run.
