...evidently I just read that the "Chaldean" community in Sterling Heights is opposed to a Mosque being built. This same community must have a terrible memory, considering that no Muslims ever held demonstrations when churches were built in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, or any other country in the middle east. Furthermore, our people the Chaldeans did not complain when Saddam Hussein himself donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for a Chaldean Church to be built in Detroit decades ago. Shame, shame shame. Everything below is from this bullshit facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ChaldeanNation -=- Michael Taylor Let me set the record straight. I am the Mayor of Sterling Heights. I am opposed to this mosque being built on 15 Mile Road. It is sad that my political opponents are lying to you and trying to scare you into thinking I am insensitive to the Chaldean people throughout the world. My heart breaks for the Christians in Iraq and throughout the world who are being terrorized by Islamic terrorists. I will do EVERYTHING in my power to protect, support and defend the Chaldean population in Sterling Heights. I have nothing to do with this mosque and do not want it built there. Jasmine Abdal Why is everyone so opposed to a mosque being built? I'm confused. Didn't Jesus HIMSELF say to never have hate for other people & their religions? Just a simple question. smile emoticon Like · Reply · 5 · August 28 at 10:50pm · Edited Hide 13 Replies Chaldean Nation this is not about hate. it is about respecting the Chaldean community which is 99% of this area population and not serv the few minority with foreign funds to support build mosques (more than one) around the city of very tiny minority of Muslims. it does not make sense unless there is a master plan to create another Dearborn. Like · 2 · August 29 at 9:26am · Edited Jasmine Abdal I understand that but why do you assume there is a master plan? It is your inherent nature to assume things about muslims when they are people just like us. I am Chaldean myself. I was always taught to respect other people and their religions. I understand we are experiencing a genocide in the middle east BUT not every muslim is a bad person. It might be to a far lesser extent but what I am reading sounds like you want to prevent them from practicing their own faith. Just like how it was done to us in the Middle East. Like · 4 · August 29 at 8:31am Chaldean Nation Thank you Omar for your support. We are absolutely in agreement. You're obviously more bothered than i am for you to have commented at all to defend Islam. Do you preach about Jesus when you're involved in fornication, lying, manipulation, deceit, lust, or any other sin? I highly doubt it. Don't use Jesus to biasedly defend your position.
