...Coming out of their barracks the Assyrian Militiamen were accosted by a five year-old who said they looked "silly" in their uniforms. The commander immediately took umbrage, said his Militia and the proud nation it represented had been "insulted" and turned the column back towards the barracks where they've been ever since. ..No doubt they would have achieved great things had they engaged the enemy...alas it is a great shame and defeat for the Assyrian people and their great Nation that this boy met them first. ..in my humble opinion they should not have let this initial confrontation discourage them. They should have just shot the kid...probably a Kurd anyway...and marched on to glory. --------------------- |
