...another of those ideas that sounds so good, so rational, so patriotic and, like all such national ideas, is pushed by the nationalist stooges sitting in bars and kitchens safely out of Iraq.

...sure, give Assyrians guns, make a police force out of them...ahhh, anyone remember the Levies and how much damage they did to the security of the Assyrians? They were used by the Brits for their own purposes...the idea for an Assyrian police force is likewise the brainchild of the nationalists, whose agenda involves getting as many Christians in Iraq killed...but killed by Muslims. So they can be "usefull". You know, so the world feels "sorry" for us and "GIVES US A COUNTRY".

...and what's the best way of getting the Christians of Iraq killed....by Muslims? Create what's being presented as a police force, but is in reality a suicide squad...a few hundred Christians, armed by Christians, to do what? Arrest Muslims? Shoot at Muslims? Does anyone stop to think what kind of retaliation this will bring? Or, is that the whole point?

...how can anyone feel sorry for us if nothing happens to us to MAKE them feel sorry for us? If we remain unarmed, we suffer a little, sure. But no more than the rest of the country. In Iraq right now more Muslims are being murdered, disappeared, killed as colaborators and kidnapped for ransom than Christians....so far, and all credit to Islam for its tolerance, Christians have not yet been collectively punished...as a group. But to give a few hundred men weapons...is to set up a situation where the entire group will be seen as a fifth column, made of people who've made no secret of their desire to be rescued by the West, at least the nationalists among them have said this...and at the first opportunity there will be massive retaliation...especially if, as is more than likely to occur, some trigger-happy Assyrian decides to settle old scores...believing the nonsense his church has pickled his brain with.

...this has happened to us before...it's also happened to many many others. But, we don't like real history books or lessons. Those historians are "stupid" people with silly diplomas...and they don't agree with Aprim....so we'll read Aprim and not history. And we'll continue to make the same mistakes.

...When the Americans leave, there will retaliation against Christians...it can't be helped...it can't be stopped. The time is long gone when these things could have been avoided. It's too late now. But there's still time to make sure it will be much WORSE.

..and that's what the nationalists are aiming at...that's the reason they're eager to arm Assyrians in Iraq...because that's all that remains to be done to make sure those people will pay the heaviest possible price...for the sake of the "nation", you know. How can we demand a safe-haven if we're not getting the shit kicked out of us in the worst possible way?

Yes folks, that IS the national strategy. Look back at all their behavior and it's the one, consistent, thing they've done. No one has caused the Christians of Iraq more grief than Western Christianity in partnership with local Christians who thought they could benefit by collaborating with those attacking and occupying Iraq.
