....after hearing the 3000th expert say that regardless of the loss of our liberties and privacy and the pervasive nature of surveillance, which we know will only grow even more invasive as years roll by, I need a reality check.....just WHY is this world of ours all of a sudden so dangerous? So dangerous that we have to justify coming unhinged in our efforts to be "safe", a state of being we will NEVER attain to the satisfaction of our leaders and war-mongers...who did this...how did it happen...was it inevitable..is that just the way we humans are????? ..go back 100 years and chart the violence in the world, I mean country against country.... 1914......WW I, brought to the world by Christians 1940......WW II, brought to the world by Christians also, Holocaust, brought to the world by Christians 1948, Palestine War, brought to the world by Christians (see "Holocaust") 1952, Korea..Brought to the world by Christians 1960, Vietnam...brought to the world by Christians Various military interventions in Latin America and other countries...brought by Christians 1991...First war against Iraq...brought to the world by Christians 2000...second war against Iraq, brought to the world by Christians Afghanistan...brought to the world by Christians ...as well as various other attacks and warlettes....all of which have made people ANGRY at the leading Christian warmonger, the United States...angry enough that some have finally had enough and are trying to fight back AGAINST Christian aggression....and for daring to do so, they are called terrorists and given as the reason why we must DEFEND OURSELVES...well hell, if you're going to attack as many people and countries as we have you are BOUND to make enemies and they are bound to want tor retaliate...but you escape the fact that WE started it!!! ..the world is indeed a more scary place because Christians MADE IT SO...look how hard they've been at it in just 100 years...never mind their past history. So, we don;t HAVE to give up liberties...it isn't necessary to arm and arm some more, not to defend ourselves anyway...unless it's to defend ourselves from the wages of our own actions. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and look at the price we exacted from them anyway....and when we, we, attack and kill and maim so many people are we really so sure that their retaliation against us is unjustified? Because only if we feel that way does it become INEVITABLE that we will have to give up much, much more.....we are cutting ourselves and worrying that we might not have enough bandages....stop the CUTTING! --------------------- |
