....in the old days swindlers made a fortune by taking lush photos of Florida beaches and palm covered fields and sending brochures to New York and other cold and wintry places....the brochures sounded great and the photos were spectacular....but, famously, most of the lots sold were underwater or otherwise not what they appeared....Christianity is the same....the brochures sound great...but once you buy into it it turns out to be quite different...except that it too allows you to go out and "snare" other suckers.

..the pay-off isn't cash but a self-righteous feeling that God loves YOU and stays up nights worrying about you.
