I donīt get the guy. For a man whoīs willing to laugh at the notion of a God....he sure finds it easy to believe in presidents...and federal comissions.

In an interview where he says itīs ridiculous to think there is any valid conspiracy theory EXCERPT the governmentīs own...he also goes on to say that these same nuts donīt accept the government version of the assassination of Kennedy...but he goes fuirther to say "what does it matter"..."what does it matter who killed him"....huh?

What does it matter? I guess if you buy the notion that some angry guy just decided to shoot the president one day, why would it matter WHICH crazy guy it was? Okay, fair enough. But thatīs the whole point. Weīrre always told that it was a "lone nut" who did it...

Had we never discovered the truth behind Watergate, or the Gulf of Tonkin, and has some raised alarms that the governmentīs version sounded awfully weird and too pat, Chomskey too would have said "what does it matter"...or, my favorite, "there is no evidence". The implication behind that statement is that since there is no evidence, youīre a fool to think there might be evidence that is being hidden, or not yet known...and how will you DISCOVER evidence if you donīt go looking, or think about WHERE to go looking for hidden or obscure evidence.

According to Chomsky it was foolish of Franklin to run his experiment...there was no evidence that it would work....well, of course not, that was the whole purpose behind the experiment, to see if there WAS evidence...evidence no one had yet gone looking for, or gone looking in the proper way. But in these cases we are told not even to BOTHER, or in the case of Kennedy, not even to care.

Seems awfully slapdash to me-----hardly scientific. Just more of the fear to find out what authority figures and governmente REALLY do in our name...which is strange in Chomskeyīs case because he doesnīt fear looking up Godīs rectum...or the governmentīs actions everywhere BUT where it lies, not where it fucks up for all to see, but where it might be fucking up in private, where it hides the evidence so you have to go LOOKING...but first, like any good scientist, you have to know where to look and where NOT to look...but more than that, you have to CARE...and that Chomskey doesnīt care who might be assassinating presidents, or colluding in attacks against his own country-....well, it ainīt very scientific and shows an appalling lack of intellectual curiosity.
