...be good, be kind, be considerate, be generous etc., and you will get into heaven. Those are things which existed before Christ and exist today without him. They were told to drink blood and eat flesh, they were told to accept that they were born sinful, that their sins could be cleansed by killing someone ELSE, and a variety of other absurd and bad things....THOSE are the Christian religion....not the other stuff.

A Christian doesn't believe good things, where his religion is concerned, the "good things" are held in common by all Humanity...he is judged by the number of bad and just plain stupid things he is willing to swallow...THAT is what gets you to heaven, not being good.
