...in England they've supposedly found the bones of Richard III under a parking lot. How do they know these 500 year-old bones belong to Richard?.....because the DNA in them matches two living relatives of his....this is the kind of stuff that gives assyrian nationalists wet dreams. They stay awake nights stroking themselves with the thought that someday someone will find Ashurbanipal's bones and then Aprim's DNA will match. Except...how do they know those bones and that DNA doesn't match a cousin of Richard's...or his great uncle? There are no signs in the grave, or the way he was buried, which indicate royalty...or prove the bones belonged to royalty, or THAT branch of the family...the whole thing sucks...bad science at its worst. --------------------- |
