Damn...I was timed out and my response went up in smoke...I'll pick up where I was cut off... > > > > >"...Muhammad was a MAN, not a God. When Moses, another man, came down from the mountain with his tablets he found his own people worshiping a calf again...he ordered Joshua to kill 3000 of them...men do these kinds of things. Muhammad had a good message for the Arabs but he was faced with hostility from the outset...and he fought back...a very sensible idea...your Jesus was supposedly a God, we don;t expect him to fight, even though others expected it of him...but when his religion was picked up by the Romans, my GOD they made up for lost time and went on a killing rampage that has never stopped." > >So, Muhammmad was a man. So what? He committed crimes in the name of religion. All these religions are bullshit. And it's strange that you hold Islam to a different standard. ....I hold it to the same standard as Christianity and find it did a lot better...Christian MEN and Muslim MEN have committed crimes in the name of their religions..but I find that, especially in the last 200 years, far more crimes have been committed by Christian MEN than Muslim MEN...I cite only one, the Holocaust. Show us an equivalent in the last 200 years, or at any time, committed by Muslims...by show us I mean EVIDENCE. > > > >"...I have provided you with ample evidence for any claims I've made...various historians and authors have stated these things...is everyone who disagrees with your vision prejudiced?...I merely bring them and post them for people to consider. I do not make this stuff up...which I think you do because you offer no proof...no citations, no quotes and no sources...except for what your priests told you...or what you get from "books" published for profit by taxi drivers and engineers. Also, I might add, these historians are all Christians, who you would think would want to do as you do, defend their religion...but they are SCHOLARS, not propagandists, who seek the truth, as best as it can be determined...I asked you for ONE example, from real history, and all you did was give me your own prejudice and them claim I was as prejudiced as you....but I brought evidence and proof to the discussion...you still have not." > >Evidence? You provided no evidence. Just your brainwashed rhetoric in defense of war crimes and ethnic cleansing and discrimination. ...the authors and historians I produced were not "my prejudice". Dr Will Durant, Michael Grant and others are not my inventions...they are well-known and respected teachers and experts. You think that anyone stating anything is as valid as anyone else...well, there is a difference. When Christian historians reveal the truth about their religion and its crimes, they are not inventing or blowing off steam....I gave you actual historians and you have yet to do the same...that is all I asked..for EQUAL sources, not your own words and thoughts...the quotes I placed here weren't my own words...all of your statements have been merely your own. > >You want evidence of forced conversion? Just google it and do some research. ...no, no. When I believe in something strongly I bring it here and show it...I don't ask people to believe me and I don't tell them to go anywhere...I do the work. If you cared enough, or had any confidence, in your point of view you would do the work, not ask others to do it for you. > >http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/1146224.stm > >Why don't you go back to Iraq then and see how wonderfully you'll be treated if indeed you are a Christian (which I don't believe). I am not a Christian, though I was born one...I'm also not Muslim or anything else...asking me to return to Iraq NOW to see how I would be treated is like asking me to take over the wheel of the Titanic after a Christian has run it into an iceberg...no thank you...although many Christians have returned and have been treated just fine... I'm sure you would never return, because you know you'd be treated like a dog. All of us with relatives still in Iraq know this to be true. Our relatives are threatened because they are Christian, and all you do is defend these crimes. ...not at all. I merely say that it is understandable that, now, Christians would not be treated well...after all Christians have been waging war against the people of Iraq, but especially Muslims, for 17 years...if any nation or religious group did that to the United States I would imagine things would be a trifle uncomfortable for any Americans of that background, or religion. It is Christian nations who started this most unjust war, therefore it is very understandable, though tragic and sad, that Christians in Iraq should suffer...but that's human nature and not any result of something strange or weird in Islam. > >You and your pancho are disgusting apologists for murder. ..I AM pancho...we're the same. I am not apologizing for murder...I am condemning the one who STARTS the murdering...and in Iraq it has been Christians who started it...not, certainly, Iraqi Christians, but Christian nations nonetheless...Iraqis, who haven't the jet planes and missles to take the war to America, have decided instead to retaliate against local Christians, because they share the religion of the attacker...there is nothing odd or unusual in that...people will fight back as best they can..but they WILL fight back..and if all they can get their hands on are Christians, even their neighbors, they will fight....this is true of anyone, anywhere. After all, there wasn't ONE Iraqi among the attackers on 9/11, and yet Christian nations have retaliated against ALL Iraqis...since it's apparently okay for Christians to attack the innocent, why can't Muslims do the same? It isn't "right",,,,but let the first one who committed this "wrong" take steps to stop...if a woman is being raped do you fault her for injuring her attacker? Do you say she is "violent"? It's accepted everywhere that you may attack the one attacking you...except Muslims can't get at the people attacking them...do you expect them then to lie down and do nothing? That isn't human nature, unfortunately. If you want to blame Muslims, blame them for what they STARTED and not their desperate attempts to defend themselves or retaliate...especially not when the Christian nations chose to retaliate against a country that did nothing to them in the first place...be fair. --------------------- |
