...when our government extols democracy what they're really praising is Fascism disguised as democracy and the deftness with which they managed the switch...bait-and-switch it's called, and it can be effected surprisingly easily.

...what you do to get there is use the words, phrases, and ideals, as well institutions of democracy, like the vote, to subtly institute Fascist rule...real democracy is precisely what the wealthy, the corporations, and the warmongers fight against and fear.

...to be a healthy democracy the majority must vote its own self-interests while making provisions for the minorities so their rights are not trampled upon....in our Fascist/democracy the exact opposite takes place; the majority is tricked and frightened into voting the self-interests of the wealthy few who then make as few provisions for that same majority as they can get away with.

..this is also achieved by driving wages down to the point that any tax at all becomes a real burden, a choice between bread and taxes....in this way we are tricked into supporting the wealthy when they cry out against "excessive taxation".....except they can afford to pay much more, while we can't afford to pay what we already pay....it appears, on the surface, that our interests are the same as theirs; lower taxes for everybody...but here's the rub...while the wealthy can afford every aspect of their lives, we cannot.

...those taxes we pay were supposed to be used to better house us, educate us, provide us with health care, keep our cities and roads and workplaces safe and on and on....and now, college education is unaffordable, for us, unless we go into debt...services are cut while the shrinking tax base is increasingly used for corporate welfare such as spaceships to Mars, weapons and a waste of all sorts of money on schemes to enrich the already rich...and that, my dears, is Fascism, in the modern-era.

Get over Hitler....he was the noisy Model T of Fascism...today we have Tesla, and you can't hear it coming.
