,,,another multi-millionaire, Romney, has decided to represent the "People"...the common man, the little guy...more and more of our leaders are millionaires who even have to pour their own millions into winning races...for that paltry salary? No, for the chance to make Fascism-by-consent our new World Order, at least in sunny America. Imagine if France had declared a Democracy in 1760, abolished the monarchy and given the French peasants the vote....and then all the aristocrats, the deposed king being chief among them, hired campaign managers and traveled around France urging crowds of peasants to "Vote for me because I will represent you". Likely there would be a few peasants silly enough to think they too could run for office...in a democracy after all....and they would scrounge and hold out the hat to raise the funds to go toe to toe with Duke Paris and Lord Croissant...and they would fail because outspent ten zillion to one. Geez, they could have spared themselves that revolution...if they'd had the right kind of media. --------------------- |
