...the big one...the one committed by Christians against Jews, yes THAT one. If we try to compare what evidence Holocaust-deniers bring to the table vs the evidence Armenian genocide-deniers bring, we might better understand each point of view and what stands behind it. To the overwhelming amount of photographs, documentary footage, first-hand accounts and volumes of books etc. by OTHER Christians, such as those who liberated the death camps and crematories, Hoolocaust-deniers say, "all bogus"...all of it made up...or, those were simply deaths by starvation and the ovens a way to dispose of disease-breeding corpses....as for the gas chambers, IŽm not sure what they can say except it was a set-up by the Jew-infested United States---the United States where Jews "run everything", except they were unable to get the United States to bomb the death camps, or allow Jewish refugees escaping Hitler to enter the country...yeah, THOSE powerful Jews. In fact, all those who deny the Holocaust have some form of mental loop de loops they must go through, weird claims of conspiracies etc. while those who deny a Turkish genocide do nothing of the sort....they simply challenge the evidence AS evidence of genocide without resorting to wild and improbable theories. You can believe, if you must, that all the evidence for the Hilocaust is made-up or insufficient...you are entitled to your opinion...but not to your own facts. And YOU have to prove those films were faked, or those camps NOT death camps....the other side doesnŽt have to prove they were, because they have brought evidence to the table, factual evidence whereas deniers of the Holocaust have only brought their OPINIONS about those facts, and their opinions are not counter-facts...they are not any kind of facts at all... There are facts and opinions on both sides of the Turkish question too...but which side has which? What facts prove a genocide and what facts refute the claim? These facts refute the claim of genocide... 1. No previous evidence of such a thing. 2. A tradition and history exactly opposite to persecution of minorities. 3. No determined effort to seize all Christians. 4. Christians throughout the empire going about their lives unmolested. These are easily verifiable facts, not opinions...any study of real and unbiased history, often written in the Christian West, will show this to be the case. Holocaust-deniers absurdly claim Jews were actually fighting the Nazis and a threat to Germany, therefore Germany had to "defend itself"...but this is merely an opinion....we have yet to see any facts that bear it out. On the other side, there is hard evidence and plenty of it that Turkish Christians did indeed take up arms and enter the service of those attacking their nation...this is not an opinion but fact, and easy to verify. Finally the Holocaust, perpetrated by Christians conforms to their past treatment of Jews...where claims that Turks took up genocide as a way to deal with their religious minorities comes completely out of the blue and has no precedent whatsover among them. Genocide and the Holocaust is standard operating procedure for Christians and always was (and is yet)....but it is totally foreign to Muslims (except perhaps where India was concerned...but that was centuries ago). In any case the Turks never practised it and on the contrary were the only people who allowed freedom of worship and security for their minorities...something Christians wouldnŽt even extend to their own Christian minorities but hunted down and exterminated ruthlessly. YouŽd have to be a bigoted fool to deny the Holocaust...and it looks more and more like the same bigoted fools are the ones who insist there MUST have been a Muslim genocide as well. Or else where is the evidence...not opinion, but fact? --------------------- |
