...I don't get it.....when President, and five-star general, Eisenhower left office he warned about the growing business of war-mongering...coining the term "military-industrial-complex"....why did he do that? The man was obviously not a flaming liberal but a Republican and a military hero...you'd think he would have LOVED all those war-profiteers...but he'd seen war, the real stuff, and he knew where this love of an easy buck could lead.

Why are we so shy about calling them out? Why do Stewart and Maddow and the rest dance around the subject...why aren't there news specials on how much money is being made with these wars and threats of war...if Eisenhower wasn't shy why are so many liberals loathe to bring it up? Is that a part of the deal..."you can call us stupid, poke fun at us, but don't ever EVER mention how much we make wars so we can make money...you do that and you're out on your ass".

There is not a more significant thing in American history right today than this conglomerate and the dangers it runs us into so they can make gobs of money...only, they don;t EARN it in that fucking free-market we hear tell so much of..no, they just back up to the Treasury where OUR money sits and shovel it in...if Eisenhower called them out, 70 years ago...what's our excuse?
