(New Soldier, or Troop), member of an elite corps in the standing army of the Ottoman Empire from the late 14th century to 1826. Highly respected for their military prowess in the 15th and 16th centuries, the Janissaries became a powerful political force within the Ottoman state. The Janissary corps was originally staffed by Christian youths from the Balkan provinces who were converted to Islām on being drafted into the Ottoman service. ...here there is mention of Christian youth and their forced conversion...but this is not what you people mean when you say "Muslims forced us to convert"! You're not talking about kids taken when very young and "raised" as Muslims...after all, weren't their parents also RAISING them as something...? And weren't all kids from Muslim families also being RAISED Muslim?

...just how do you suppose Native People all across and up and down the Western Hemisphere were RAISED Christian? Do you think their parents handed them over to the Church? You think Aztec and Mayan and Cherokee people willingly turned their children over? Even as recently as 1966 the Christian Australian government was taking Native children from their homes to be raised Christian in State schools...that's in 1966......AD!

Who are you trying to fool? Our challenge was for you people to back up YOUR claims...there was NEVER any dispute about Janissaries...or about the killing of Christians here and there....that was NEVER the issue. The issue is that you people claim that your numbers were reduced, not by people converting willingly to Islam...but that they KILLED you, by the millions and THAT'S how Islam came to dominate...you also claim that within the last 100 years Muslims have FORCED countless Christians to convert on pain of death....THAT was the issue, THESE are the lies we called you on...and till today you have not produced ONE actual solid source or even ONE factual example...but you bring us Turkey of 700 years ago...and your Grandmothers!!!

...do you even know that when the Christians took back Grenada and Andalusia they either murdered every Jewish Muslim man woman and child or exiled them or forced them to convert? Do you know that when the Christian Crusaders took Jerusalem from the Muslims they murdered every Jewish and Muslim man woman and child...and that when the Muslims retook it, they invited the Christian Patriarch back from hiding (because by his own example he thought Muslims would do the same) and that he toured Jerusalem as the guest of the conqueror and that from that day Christians and Jews were given the freedom to live and worship....when even LIFE was denied by the Christians?

...how old are you?
