The reason the Oakland Police rioted and beat the Oakland protesters in their Occupy encampment resulting in the Iraqi vet, Scott Olsen, getting his head smashed by a projectile canister, according to the police and news reoprts, was started because someone from the crowd "threw a bottle of water". In the occupied territories of Palestine, during the first Intifada ('87), IDF officers would point out the "leaders" of the protest through binoculars and appoint snipers to snuff'em out. During the Warsaw Uprising, the Germans used the same methods to take out Jewish protest leaders. The US police and the IDF gets most, if not all, of their training studying the Nazis. The corporate media is shown being complicit in, and even supportive of, flagrant police misconduct. Those perceived as “leaders” by the police are often singled out for surveillance, assault, and arrest regardless of the fact that those individuals have broken no laws and committed no crimes. The police kept this footage despite laws prohibiting the collection of information on individuals engaged in political dissent.
