In their classic debate Hitchens says something about how there has been democracy in Lebanon for quite some time...only to have Galloway shoot back that the Lebanese constitution was created under the guns of United States Marines who came ashore in 1958 and said that only a Christian could be president of Lebanon, in a country where Christians make up only 20% of the population...to which Hitchens just stood mute....you'd think Hitchens would have been better prepared...to have seen that coming.

Such ignorance on his part, on this topic, would be the same as someone having to point out to him that the mother of Jesus was not the Virgin Betty, as he just said....you'd have thought he'd be better prepared.
