...shitskies! There are so few on our side and now we lose him. Don't have to agree with everything a person believes....when does that happen?....but on the important things concerning religion, I delighted in him.

The notion that civilization can't survive without God is absurd...and it hasn't been tested anywhere, not yet. Can a civilization THRIVE is a better question, and again, it doesn't matter whether god exists or not, what's at issue is how does it survive with a BELIEF in god?

Well, look around. Do we have to wait till we've poisoned ourselves off the planet to question the benefits of believing a god has your back for every crime you commit? The earth hasn't a chance until we kill Heaven and god too.

Hitchens will be missed....we could have done without this pope and any twelve others far more easily. There's no loss in a dead pope. They have a college of clowns waiting with any number of replacements....but in this god-addled world, where do you get another Hitch? And where do you get anyone with such a majestical command of the English tongue?
