...No one is arguing that Islam isn't silly...though it has not been as bloody, not even close, to Christianity...still, this whole business of Stone-Age "teachings", which are supposed to guide us today, is absurd...might as well practice Stone-Age medicine as well.

But that isn't the point....Hitchens and the boys keep trying to make it about Islam, about Muhammad, about Jihadists, whatever that means....they give the religion as the reason Muslims are fighting against the Christian West...but that's nonsense and a smoke-screen....that's blaming the victim.

It would be like the Japanese leaders telling their people that the United States is attacking it because of Jesus. The Japanese people, at least, wouldn't be so stupid as to believe that. They would know full well that the reason the United States is attacking them is because they attacked the United States...after that, what did anyone expect would happen?

What did WE expect after our attacks against Muslim countries which, as the record shows, never attacked us? If there is evidence that Islam has "always" been at war with the West, I'd like to see it.

When someone of the mental calibre of Hitchens can only come up with those Algerian pirates as an example of "Islam has always been at war with us"...you KNOW there's nothing there, if that's the best HE can do. And he's the only one who's even tried.
