How To Travel Around The World Making Enemies

Unfortunately for assyrians Turks, Arabs and Qurds too have migrated to all the same countries where they have settled and have become citizens of long-standing. Naturally they present an obstacle to assyrians wishing to carry their fantasies and sense of persecution with them wherever they go. Not only have the assyrians manged to make themselves unwelcome in their own homelands but they seem determined to create the same animosity everywhere else they settle, hence producing precisely the same conditions they claim to be escaping from.

In the West they expect to be "free", to enjoy the protection of Western ideals and laws. Yet we see how they define freedom when they ban and delete and slander people on their forums. Likewise they have taken advantage of the customs and laws in Australia, in this instance, to place what was presented as a monument to their martyrs...except their claims are bogus...as false as they were back home. There was no genocide of assyrians by the Turks. Hundreds of thousands of Turks, Greeks, Armenians and assyrians died from starvation and disease...as we recently witnessed 700,000 Iraqi children, under the age of five, succoming to the same forces as a result of the Western imposed Sanctions...imposed by Christians we should remember...and yet no one is calling these deaths genocide, even though they resulted from a deliberate, officially sanctioned program by the United States and others. In Turkey there was no such order given but rather these conditions came about as a result of the war and affected all those living in the country.

assyrians have chosen to define for themselves what really happened. Undoubtedly there were instances of private vendettas or mob anger directed at home-grown Christian neighbors who were thought to be sympathetic to the cause of Western Christianity. But there was no wholesale slaughter of Christians just because they were Christians. There was justifiable anger at Armenians because for one thing they were storing weapons and for another they invaded the central Bank of Turkey in Istanbul and took hostages, threatening to blow the entire building and themselves and innocent hostages too. This act alone consituted sedition and treason and in time of war would merit the severest punishment, yet the government allowed the Armenian criminlas to be escorted out of the country on the private yacht of the British Ambassador.

This mantra, that Muslims have slaughtered Christians simply because of their religion is so often repeated that people, especially those of bad faith, take it to be true. And yet when challenged these same assyrians are unable to produce any historical evidence for such massacres. Never once do Christians concede that it is not for their religion but for their acts, often in the service of that religion, for which they are condemned and roundly disliked by many, perhaps even to the point of retaliation, as was the case in the most recent disfigurement of the monument in Australia.

Muslims of all nationalities are tired of being under attack, tired of seeing the same lies and propaganda aimed at them which not too long ago had Jews as their target...and we all know what that eventually led to. The assyrians of Australia, by continuing this myth of their gencoide at the hands of Turks, and Arabs, keep stoking the honest and justified resentment of those of their neighbors whom they now slander...as they did back in their homelands. And this allows them to cry that they are being persecuted still. More care and scholarly investigation should have been undertaken by the Australian authorities to prevent a needless ratcheting up of the growing hostility, based on ignorance and fear, being directed at all Muslims.

This issue must be resolved by historians and not assyrian taxi drivers, engineers and doctors, all of whom are hardly unbiased.
