most of the time, but since itīs you I have to admit that I placed that post there, without bothering to check any facts, in the hopes that it would, shall we say, flush you out? I had about given up on seeing any posts from you refuting all the other information we psoted for your consideration so I did a mean and lowly thing; I set out some bait and sure enough, you lumbered right in. I have no doubt that you, and all other genocide-claimers, believe you just "exposed" my silly argument about the Turks leaving their Jewish population alone, in spite of what you would have us beoieve; that they wanted to cleanse everybody etc. Iīm assuming that your post is supposed to show us that Jews DID fight against the Turks, so that if there WAS no retaliation, it proves that Turks were only set on "genociding " Christiasn because they have always HATED CHRISTIANS...in other words, they didnīt mind at all treasonous Jewish subjects...while hating only treasonous Christians subjects....why? Because they only hate Christian traitors, thatīs why. Right? Except there is no mention in your post of Jewish militia units WITHIN Turkey itself, or in any of the locations from which Christians were accused of attacking Turks. The Jewish battalions fought alongside the Britiah in Palestine etc. Well, the Turks did not murder Christians because Christian "battalions" were fighting in Palestine, or in Galipoli...the acts they are accused of all happened within Turkey proper...on the borders especially. Your case, that Turks killed MOSTLY Christians, even though Jews rebeleed etc. would be better made if Turks went on a round-up for ALL Christians...but they never did that. Apparently just declaring a war on Turkey was not enough to set off retaliation against all Turkish Christians...neither were Jewish regiments and units fighting with the Allies cause to attack all Jewish Turks....what set this thing in motion was the militias, the Armenian militias who targeted their neighbors...who slaughtered Turks wherever they found theminside Turkey...the outer edges of the empire were nearly lost anyway...what the Turk wa smost concerned in safeguarding was their central homeland, they knew the outer edges could not be maintained against the Allies...so that Christians or Jews fighting or fighting alongside Allied armies in Palestine, for example, were not the same concern as those rebelling in Istanbul, or along the borders of Turkey proper. That the Turks didnīt move against their own Jews, living in the heartland (where the massacres of Christians supposedly took place) proves that whatever actions they took against rebels were confined to those areas they COULD defend and, were most necessary for the defense of the homeland. Had Armenians confined themselves to joining the fight in Palestine and not engaged in terror acts within Turkey itself, liek in Istanbul, I doubt the Turks would have truned on Christians, in the homeland. The fact that there was no retaliation against Jews can be seen, by you, as a sign that the Turks were only using excuses to murder their Christians, but were willing to ignore those same acts when committed by Jews....or, a neutral person could think that the Christians did something, within the areas where they were actually harmed, that the Jews did NOT. Have you any information regarding Jewish revolts and uprisings, say in Istanbul...or in those areas where Christians claim they were massacred and hubted down? Aslo, do you have any information about Jews accepting arms and pay and orders to do things like take hostages in the central bank and threaten to blow it up? Also, did Jews live in small villages along the borders and had they ever received European missionaries among them and converted to Presbyterianism etc? Or even that Jewish evangelists had entered the country from Europe claiming to seek to save Muslims from that "devil" Muhammad...also any evidence of Jewish Crusades against islam in the past...or any evidenceat all that suggests that Turks turned on their Christians because they were always seeking excuses to harrass and persecute their Christians...and that the Millet System was just such a plot, to force Christians in Turkey to be under the guidance of their own religious leaders well beyond the time when Euros were forcing a common identity on their people...any evidence? --------------------- |
