...one is the "Journal of the American Medical Association"(JAMA)...the other is "The Journal of the Assyrian Academic Society" (JAAS). One is a real journal, actually can be proven to be "American" and has actual medical experts on its editorial staff....the other isn't a journal, has no academicians attached to it who have any expertice in the subject, staffed mostly by medical doctors and others, linguists and whatnot, but no historians and certainly no published scholars...AND has yet to prove to anyone that it has anything Assyrian about it...but, Toro will say, "I bring you a JOURNAL and you laugh at me"! In his head a journal is a journal is a journal if you call it one...that's all it takes...a word, because WORDS is all they are about. Here is the best version of the editorial board of JAAS, which ONLY appears on Wikipedia, where facts go to die. Editor-in-Chief Robert Paulissian, M.D. Editors (in Alphabetical Order) Michael Abdalla, Ph.D. (in what?) Rifaat Ebied, Ph.D. (ditto) Philimon Darmo Sargon Hasso, Ph.D. (ditto) Arian Ishaya, Ph.D. (ditto) David G. Malick Francis Paz, Ph.D. (ditto) Hannibal Travis, Ph.D. (ditto) Efrem Yildiz, Ph.D. (ditto) Helen Yonansardaroud Technical Editor Atour Bejan Board of Advisors Vallo Benjamin, M.D. Essa Benyamin Walid Hindo, M.D. Sharukin Yelda, M.D. Youkhana Yousefi, M.D. Assyrian Academic Society From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ...almost ALL of them medical doctors of some kind, but ALL of them "experts" who "challenge" Dr Joseph. This is equivalent to Dr Joseph putting out a journal on internal medicine and some yahoo telling us that he has the WORD "doctor" in front of his name "so there"! Joseph would never dream of writing with any authority on any but his field of expertise, yet all these assyrian doctors feel completely free to write about a field that is less than a hobby to them and for which they are ill-equipped, to say the least. Jump to: navigation, search The Assyrian Academic Society or AAS was established in 1983 in Chicago, Illinois, where there is a large Assyrian diaspora community. As stated in the preamble, the Assyrian Academic Society promotes Assyrian culture, history, and knowledge through a variety of activities including publications, lectures, and seminars. Its goal is to serve as an educational arm within the Assyrian diaspora and to introduce Assyrian heritage and contemporary history to the outside world. The organization is a registered 501(C)(3) non-profit organization without any political orientation. ...THEY are going to "educate"...the outside world, no less. What an embarrassment! 2008-2009 Board of Advisors Dr. Donny George Youkhanna. Professor at the Department of Anthropology at Stony Brook University in New York. Former Chairman of the Iraqi State Board of Antiquities and Heritage. Dr. Edward Y. Odisho. Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Northeastern University and formerly an adjunct professor at Loyola University, Chicago. Dr. Odisho was also the founder of the Assyrian Academic Society and JAAS. Dr. Michael Abdalla. Professor at the University of Agriculture in Poznan, Poland. He is also a member at the Chair of Oriental Studies in the Faculty of Neophilology in the Adam Mickiewicz University. Dr. John C. Michael. Ophthalmology Surgeon and CEO of the Retina institute of Illinois. Former president of the Assyrian Academic Society. Dr. Ninwe Maraha. Graduate of the Karolinska Institute of Laboratory Medicine, Stockholm, Sweden. Former president of the Assyrian Federation of Sweden and editor of Hujada Magazine. Dr. Maraha is also a member of the Editorial board of Nineveh Magazine. ...an opthamologist, a professor of agriculture...someone who is chair of oriental studies at "Adam Mickiewicz University"...I'm not even going to bother to look THAT one up.....a graduate of laboratory medicine...a professor in the department of teacher education and several MORE medical doctors and radiologists and anaesthesiologists and maybe an auto mechanic or two....we Nestorians come from the MIDDLE EAST...we modern assyrians appeared on the scene in the 19th century...there isn't a single expert in THIS field on their boards....and yet they are going to "educate" people. ...by contrast and to show adults do these things, here's the editorial board of just one division of JAMA...you'll notice there are no teachers of teachers, or agriculture, or oriental studies...but there ARE lots of medical experts, as there should be as the world expects, since the fucking topic IS medicine!!!! Editor: Roger N. Rosenberg, MD Department of Neurology University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center 5323 Harry Hines Blvd Dallas, TX 75390-9108 Associate Editors: Hassan M. Fathallah-Shaykh, MD, PhD , Birmingham, Alabama Benjamin M. Greenberg, MD , Dallas, Texas Lawrence S. Honig, MD, PhD , New York, New York Matthew Menken, MD , Princeton, New Jersey David E. Pleasure, MD , Sacramento, California Ira Shoulson, MD , Washington, DC Olaf Stüve, MD, PhD , Dallas, Texas Steven Vernino, MD, PhD, Dallas, Texas ...honestly, this community doesn't understand the most basic concepts, about ANYTHING. And, let me guess...I put all this here because I "HATE"...right? --------------------- |
