...how silly would it have been for the Japanese in WW II to ask..."Why do they hate us"? Or, "Is it because of our lifestyle and values that they bomb us"?

For decades we've been murdering and abusing the Palestinian people, not all of whom are Muslims, we've supported and armed Israel in every attack its made on Palestinian civilians and children ( in Syria and Lebanon too), even in the face of condemnation by the entire world...we attacked Iraq under illegal pretexts and lies...we broke their society apart and tortured and killed thousands of civilians who never did us any harm, any more than Vietnamese rice farmers ever did....we sacked the military and police and emptied prisons and then flooded the country with weapons and money and continued abusing and occupying the people until enough of them had enough and we left the country and left them the mess we'd made of a thriving society which never had the time or opportunity to develop and grow its own institutions...and NOW we go back and bomb them some more because their society has proven "dysfunctional" and "dangerous to the region".....no shit...I guess this was the real "Mission Accomplished".

We may fool ourselves but we're not fooling many others...we brought this on and we can wring our hands and necks all we want to but it was all OUR doing and it was deliberate...not "mistakes were made". The warmongers and super-patriots got what they wanted; someone or something to replace the former "great threat to our way of life":Communism. And it's worked beautifully...now the Pentagon is working to create robot armies so we the people won't have ANY skin in the game and can watch more football..and the Patriot Act has eaten away at Constitutional guarantees the neo-cons hated because Blacks and women and Gays and everyone else was using the Constitution to get THEIR civil rights and human rights.

I really truly hope Trump wins the presidency...no one else can do more to bring down the wrath of the world against a marauding U.S.A than that fool. He will be our Hitler for the simple reason that he too will turn out to be the greatest enemy we ever had..as Hitler was for Germany...a nation he too wanted to make "Great Again".
