Our propagandist on here(rico suave)as they all due, wants to pose as an atheist in order to get credit but this is nothing new to us. Remember "minime" anyone? We remember that individual and his denying of his xtian faith while going out of his way to cover up for the eucharist. We also know how many different names Bet Shlimon has used on here and even claimed nationalism is more important to him then xtianity while all his hatred toward Islam is from his version of xtianity. Our buddy on here(rico)wants to tell us that Islam is guilty of genocide as xtians are with the holocuast. In other words, the Turks are on the same level as Nazis in this regard. Let's review soem facts. First, Jews were hunted down and killed throughout xtian history and there were many church and government sponsored attempts to wipe them out. Synagogues were attacked and Jews were massacred all over Europe. The Jews posed no threat to Europe and xtians nor did they declare war on Germans. They were simply killed for being Jewish and it was agovernment/church sponsored attempt. Even prior to the holocaust, Jews were persecuted and killed by Catholics and Protestants. The Jewish holocuast is a recorded fact that is undeniable and a huge tragedy. Let's look at Armenians and Turks. The Ottoman empire lasted for over 600 years and there were never any attempts to wipe out Armenians, Greeks, Christians or any peoples. The Turks even managed to save thousands of Jews during the holocuast. Why would a government who rescused persecuted peoples and had no prior record of genocide, etc be suddenly willing to do the same to Armenians? What stopped the Turks all those centuries from wiping out Armenians that they suddenly decided 1915? Why not 1415 or 1715 but why 1915? The answers are easy to provide. The Armenians waged war or the Turks, they sided with Russians as our boys did and so were not innocent. People do die during wars and peopel on all sides died. The latest claims by xtian propagandist is that 2,5 million Armenians were massacred by the Turks. The number of alleged victims in this "genocide claim" has gone up in the last 80 years just as the numbers stated by Fred Aprim, zinda, etc keep increasing. The numbers are no doubt exaggerated and even of doubtful origin as proven by many honest professionals who have studied this case. Secondly, there was never a systematic attempt by the Turks to wipe out Armenians. They were not hunted down all over nor were their churches attacked. It is a fact that Armenian churches were open throughout those years in other parts of Turkey and Armenians were not killed or harmed all over the empire as the Jews were hunted down everywhere. Turkey has never denied that some people were killed but they have strongly denied a genocide and the evidence seems to be on their side. Up to this day the main evidence for the propagandists has been a supposed telegram by Pasha Talat and this has been proven to be a fabrication. The problem here is that the Turks have been portaryed as the "bad guys" and many have accepted the genocide myth without evidence since they are prejudice anyways and they already know the "truth". This may be the way bigots and propagandists work but that is not how historians, scholars and honest professionals behave. The Russians, Armenians, Syriacs etc had formed an alliance agaisnt the Ottoman government and western nations wanted to seize Ottoman controlled lands since they were rich with resources. These western powers used the local Christians as their bridge, and the Armenians went as far as opening fire first and killing many Kurds, Turks and other Muslims so it is only logic that they will be in trouble. The bottom line is that there was never a systematic attempt by the Turkish government to wipe our Armenians but they were at war with some Armenians. Yes, some Armenians were killed, others were executed and others were expelled from that area, but many Turks were also killed and murdered by the Armenians and the majority of deaths were as a result of diseases, cold winters, starvation, etc. This goes for all sides as this was a rough time period(1914-1920). Had a genocide really occured or if the Turks had such desires, they would have gone after them all and all over the country, but there was no such attempt. There is no way to prove exactly how many people died on all sides but there is hardly no solid evidence of an Governmenmt sponsored attempt to kill all Armenians. The Armenians have their many more versions of Fred Aprim's and they too have been poisoned with hatred and bigotry. Turks lived in peace with Armenians, Greeks and others and the Turks feel closer to them since theys hare much of similar culture. Our propagandist on here has tried a nice atttempt to find soemthing equal to xtian atrocities but has failed. I would be the last person on here to defend the "Young Turks" who were running things in Turkey. After all, it was these same people who helped the Brits and others end the last Islamic government and went on to destroy and close major mosques, closed Islamic schools and killed many prominent Muslim scholars in Turkey. It is the same people that have runned Turkey for the last 100 years and this country is still a 3rd world country while at one point the Turks were ahead of Europe with education, technology and success. Before anyone accuses me of propaganda, I make myself clear thar I dislike the Young Turks and how they destroyed Islam in Turkey. Therefore, I have no reason to defend them other than for the sake of honesty and truth. If, for the sake of argument, the Turks committed a genocide, how is Islam to be blamed for that when it does not allow such things and the Young Turks were not Islamic to begin with? That people were killed is not doubted but a genocide did not take place. The difference between Armenian fanatics and our bigots is that they have a larger population than our "Assyrian Nation" or whatever they now call themselves and Armenian propagandists have spent a lot of money on this myth. This myth is funded and supported by bigoted xtians and also accepted by the same kind because the "bad guys" in this case are the Turks and Islam. Xtians have killed far more of their own and committed genocides agaisnt other xtians because they weren't considered "true xtians" but this is not a tragedy at all for the propagandists. However, in the case of the Turks, it is a major event since they are Muslims and Islam has to be blamed. Murder and genocide is a tragedy no matter what and who it is done so. Persecution, injustice, etc are all tragedies. These propagandists and deluded fanatics who scream "persecution" and "genocide" could never handle what Black people endured and suffered or what Jews, Natives and xtian denominations which were wiped out because they were viewed as "false Christians" or "heretics". Islam can never be painted with the same brush as xtianity because the two are different. Xtianity is only a religion and Islam is not just a religion but a acomplete way of life. I am not saying that xtianity is to be blamed for what xtians do but that is the xtian logic when it comes to Islam. So we take the bad Muslims and compare them with bad xtians and the scales will be heavier on the xtian side. After all, xtian popes, leaders and governments ordered such atttempts to wipe out people simply for religion while Muslims did not. --------------------- |
