About a year ago I heard about an artist who had set up a theatre workshop in Jenin to free the occupied minds of the Palestinian children and pave a way of creativitiy and peace - a means outside of violence - to transcend the negative forces of destruction and war. His name was Juliano Mer-Khamis, the son of a Jewish mother and a Palestinian father, who was shot down and murdered yesterday, the same day when 43 years back, another peacemaker was shot down in Memphis. Rest in Peace, Juliano... Rest in Palestine. http://mondoweiss.net/2011/04/juliano-mourned.html --------------------- |
