First he'll appear after a short silence and break from this forum. He then makes a statement such as Muslims killed Assyrians and Christians for their religions, or the Islam is a racial religion. He'll make such claims and then even threaten to post proof. Now he could save the entire headache for himself by just simply admitting that this his opinion but no he is too arrogant for that. So since he wishes to make a statement which he claims to have proof for, he'll have to provide it. When his proof is blown away and laughed at, he'll start name calling. After name calling, he'll bring family into it to keep distracting and he finally has the nerves to pretend that his people are humble enough to admit the bad things done by Christians. But he forgets that the historians who admit this are going against the desires of other Christians and are honest historians. So he then plays the humble game and calls Muslims arrogant for not admitting to have forced Islam on people, killed people for their religions. But there is a problem because why should Muslims pretend that they have the same history as Christianity when it was not the same at all. If a Muslim does something evil or un Islamic, we gladly will condemn him/her. I condemn Saddam for some his actions and behaviors and the same goes for Bin Laden if he is really guilty of what they say about him. But to have to admit that Islam was spread by the sword is absurd and dishonest. Islam is not like Christianity and Islam is unique because it is not even a religion as the ones that people know but it is a complete system not just spiritually but also in every day life matters. Therefore, if a person is not interested in Islam, he does not have to die or leave an Islamic state because Islam does protect non Muslims who are citizens of the land. The case is not so with Christianity because it does not offer anything in other areas besides a gift from a one time wrathful God to one who changes character and all of the sudden wants to die for everyone. Since Christianity does not offer anything in every day life except for spiritual matters, the powerful church and Christian kings or rulers took things in their own hands and even killed people for refusing baptism because they don't know how or what to do with others. This was even proven by the actions of Christians toward other Christians such as the Protestants and Catholics who killed each other by the tons and could not peacefully co exist. Islam is not so because the Islamic way of life is not forced on anyone and those who are not interested in "Submission to the one and only Creator" can still live in an Islamic ruled land without having to follow the Sharia but they govern by their own customs or laws. This is proven how the Christians in Mesopotamia ruled by their own church and elected their own leaders. That is what the Jizya was for and that is why Islam can't and will never have to be forced on anyone because it provides options to how to run a society. While Jumblat's churches and Christian kings were against the study of science and other things, Muslims revived it in Europe and everywhere because of the simple reason that the Quran encourages seeking knowledge and studying the creation. It is from this that we come to know the countless of signs of the Creator and his countless blessings. There is no conflict between Islam and science or logic. Blind faith or faith alone has no basis in Islam because a person is required to know something first before accepting it. Some people require a little evidence to be convinced while others require much more and then there are others who can be given countless signs and they will not believe. In either case, Islam can never and will never be forced on everyone. As much as your media attacks Islam, no matter how many millions of dollars they spend in slandering Islam and no matter how many false Islamic web sites which are secretly Christian runned and hoping to manipulate ignorant people in preventing others from knowing Islam they are going to have, more and more people accept Islam daily by doing research for themselves and because they have a love for knowing the truth and are sincere. There are more people who become Muslim than the other major faiths combined and these are not my own words. I go to masjids and run into Muslims from places I have never even met anyone from before. Who would imagine an Assyrian who was raised with the same prejudices would be standing shoulder to shoulder with a person from Mali or Argentina and Jumblat wants to speak about racism. If a Muslim does something evil or unIslamic, we will speak out against him but we can not lie and say that Islam was spread by force when all the available evidence proves otherwise. It is just puzzling for the narrow minded Christian who attacks and loves to slander Islam to accept that Islam was not spread by force, Muslims do not kill each other over the authenticity of the Quran or anything else that exists in the Christian history. There were Muslims who were bad and there always will be but to say that Muslims used to sword to convert people by force and killed those who refused is absurd and untrue. But I am not surprised with these kind of Christians because I many Christians such as the evangelics and other die hard Bible thumpers who do not even believe that dinosaurs existed because the Bible says that everything was created less than 6000 years ago and the first human was created the same time period as the creation of the earth and heaven. They argue that the Bible can not be wrong since it is the "word of God" and therefore anything else is wrong and from the devil. With such mind it is no wonder that some behave the way they do. They can't see the plain and the clear but they pretend to understand that they do not really worship three gods but one and all the other weird doctrines which conflict with logic and even with the Hebrew scriptures. So this is the case of Jumblat as described above and I wonder if he believes in the one time existense of dinosaurs or I wonder if he really believes that the Assyrian calendar is a 1000 years older than the creation of this world according to his book. Can Dr Jumblat tell us what he thinks? --------------------- |
