....in the last seven days there has been no new post, until today when Maggie added one about Terrence Malick and how he is "assyrian"....the last post, last Thursday, was about traitors to assyria in Syria and how they should be hanged etc. Had Terrence Malick not been assyrian Maggie would have nothing to post and neither would anyone else...these people claim to be fighting a battle to save assyria, which takes the form of either wishing fellow assyrians dead or praising those who are famous (until they too should "deserve hanging")...that's it. That's the sum total of their noble war for assyria, either bitching or fawning....those are their "tactics"...that and seeing how many assyrians they can get "martyred" so the world will take pity on the rest and maybe do something for people who don't know enough to come in out of the rain. ...I keep stressing this to highlight the difference between our goal, and success, and their unfulfilled promise to "promote assyria" and its resurrection. They do absolutely nothing to show that they are working towards their stated goal, while we, on the famous other hand, achieved our aim a few years ago when the last assyrian left this free forum because he simply couldn't answer our questions. The goal of this site was always to challenge and thereby expose the so-called assyrian nationalists...and we did it. They have yet to begin to work at their stated goal...instead we get lame jokes every few days when nothing else appears, and constant bitching, or their attempt to win vicarious glory by rubbing up against people who have actually done something...like Terrence Malick. They are like the poor villager who comes to the big city and is overwhelmed by all he sees...and has a photo taken of himself standing in front of a fancy car...a photo he sends back to his family and friends so maybe they'll think it is HIS car...same as the front cover photo of one of Aprim's self-printed books which shows a young boy in typical, and common, Arab dress standing in front of a recently excavated Assyrian sculpture...again the aim is to impress the folks back home..."look, Ma, I'm standing in front of an Assyrian sculpture. therefore I AM Assyrian". That's also what Layard and the other Christian European discovers of the ruins of the ancient Assyrians did: stood the local Christian villagers in front of the uncovered artifacts and took pictures of them and told them YOU are these people...and the fools sent photos to all their friends and families saying, "Look, they've discovered US". --------------------- |
