...the headline on the BBC today mentions nothing about religious violence but instead calls it ETHNIC.....but in the article there is no mention of which ethnic groups were involved....and yet there is one more reference to what Christians suffered. Could it be that they de-emphasized religion, today, because they realized that the dead were Muslims and their killers Christian...so it became "ethnic" today? If it really was ethnic, how come there is no mention of ethnic groups involved...or any mention at all of ethnic groups? Islam is not an Evangelical religion....not in the modern sense of the word. Muslims in America, even though they could, by law, do not go door to door or stand on street corners damning "sinners" to hell or telling them they are wrong in their faith. This is something Christians do, and the worst sort of Christians too. Part of their religious duties, as they see it, is to confront non-Christians....well, confront them with what? What else but how "mistaken" they are...how wrong they are...and how deluded and even evil their Prophet is. And yet they are SURPRISED when people grow resentful and then actively hostile? What do Christians think is the appropriate response to hearing that your parents were deluded, are rotting in Hell and that you and your beliefs are the devil's own? Are they supposed to WELCOME such news? Are they supposed to remain polite and considerate and restrained while the Christians insulting them do no such thing? Why does the Church want to spread to Nigeria? And HOW does it plan to expand once the missionaries settle in? And, if it doesn't work out the way they hoped...how do they react? Do they shrug their shoulders and say "we tried"? I think not...what they do is ramp up the pressure...even to the point of forcing a retaliation and then calling THAT "persecution".....which then allows them to use even harsher methods because now they are being "attacked". And lurking behind all this is the hope and the attempt, to get their government's backing and support in "protecting the churches". Muslims, and most colonized people have seen through this trick long ago. It's not going to work any more....all it does is help to further convince Christians that THEY are the injured party....especially if they can produce "martyrs"...and they WILL push it to that extreme...same as our boys. --------------------- |
