.....she answered the questionaire point by point and the end result is rather pointy-heaed, as you would expect...but one answer sums up exactly why we must fight assyrians...if we wish to save the few remaining Christians of Iraq.

3. What can Assyrian political struggle accomplish inside Iraq, versus outside Iraq?

Inside Iraq: Nothing.

Outside Iraq: Give the people inside Iraq a voice they wouldn’t otherwise have and this in turn affects policy.

...it's this "give the people a voice"...that's at the root of all the crimes being committed against the Iraqi Christians BY these kinds of assyrians.

They neglect to mention that they themselves ran out, and are glad they did...Maggie thanks her father for having the presence of mind to get her OUT of Iraq...no thoughts there about remaining so she could have a "voice on the inside"...hell no, it was "Get me out of here NOW"...fuck the voice.

How, exactly, does she propose to give them this voice...to say what...and more to the point, to whom? Does she want them storming the Iraqi parliament and making HER demands for her?

What does she think they have to say, with this voice? Do they want to complain at their treatment? If so, they can get in line behind Iraqi Muslims who've had it far worse....who cares to listen to them?

Do they find things hard to bear in a country devastated by a passle of Christian nation-thugs....well, who cheered this attack and said it would bring "golden opportunities"?

All Maggie and her harrumphing assyrians want, when they claim to just be "giving a voice to people inside Iraq", is getting their OWN voices heard and preferably by putting them INTO the mouths of those back there...so it will seem to be coming from them.

The few remaining Christians want nothing more than to get along, blend in and assimilate, if that's what it takes...JUST as did all the assyrians who went to live in America and Australia...they want PEACE and it won;t come thanks to anything Maggie is doing...she is inflaming the situation by putting American/assyrian demands into THEIR mouths. She is, in the best tradition, using them for her own purposes while all the time crying tears over them.
