I just watched the White House ceremony where Obama handed out the medal to a living soldier...and it was embarrassing. I don't doubt all the soldier did...but against whom?

At one point they showed the soldier in all his gear...he had superior weapons, body armor, a helmet-cam, and who knows what else.....in the days when medals meant something the opposing soldiers were equally matched....but who did this soldier win his medal off of? Civilians in gowns and sandals...wielding ancient weapons and improvised explosives.....shouldn't you get medals for a fair fight?

Are we grown so desperate for heroes that we honor bullies?
