...things are very polite at that site...very dull and very polite. There isn't anything of substance they can talk about because it might lead to that crime of crimes in Assria...someone will be "rude" and "ill-mannered". They never consider that it is THEIR way to start screeching at each other and not the fault of the subject under discussion...but because THEY get hysterical and "rude" when discussing the weather, the WEATHER is at fault and should be avoided! The boys have looked around the world...weighed human experience...considered the great issues people have historically thrased and fought over and been decidedly UNpolite in the process and, checking themselves in the mirror, decided that their contribution to world events will be "politeness" I'm reminded of a comment by Orson Wells. He said the Swiss haven't engaged in a war since the 15th century, which is admirable...but their greatest contribution to human history since then has been the Cuckoo Clock. --------------------- |
