Did you guys not understand what I wrote? Firstly until the perpetuator is captured we are in no position to start lambasting anyone - especially Kurds who may not have been involved. And even if it turns out to be a Kurd it in no way points to a general Kurdish government policy of mass rape of our women and should be treated as a localised criminal case. Over the years Assyrian women harv also raped and murdered in the US we don't blame the entire US administration and the American people for the actions of select criminals and we don't blame their religion further perpetuating the Oriental framework. Secondly we should start to open up discussion of honor killings of our women by our own men which is a subject that has remained taboo until now. I encourage all of us to speak out once we have evidence only and to ensure that our men are aware that we will not tolerate these barbaric actions. Finally I sympathise with your friend's loss. Alaha Ashur manyikhla. --------------------- |
