...it's supposed to eb a good sign that our government is going back to the old name..it's supposed to mean good times are soon to be back and the nightmare of military rule and oppression will end...why, the Obamas have even ended trade barriers against Burma and have declared that one avid general has now seen the light and has come over to democracy...

,,,what this really means is that American corporations, having laid the groundwork, are poised to set up shop and import "Burmese goods" into the United States, you know, as areward for the generals coming to see democracy in a better light...it also means that this general has a deal to be a partner or sit on a board with us and grease his skids...it hardly means that traditional Burmese goods will now be available at Safeway....instead Americans will use the cheap labor to be had, especially after decades of "sad suffering" the people went through...these "liberated" people will now get jobs jobs jobs working for pennies at American businesses whose bosses will reap huge profits.
