...we must remember that "success" in Iraq means succeeding in murdering enough innocent people to discourage the rest and beat them into submission. That was the goal behind Sanction..hell, they came out and said it, that Sanctions were meant to "inspire" parents to rise against Saddam...when all they achieved was to break the hearts of thousands of parents...which was the real point.

That the Surge, or any other tactic "works" simply means the next heinous crime of this government succeeded...it's like finding that kicking a woman you plan to rape in the head first, "works" better because it reduces her ability to resist. That's all we're talking about....there's nothing to rejoice over or feel satisfied in knowing that one more crime against humanity "worked".

...the Nazi invasion of Poland was a cake-walk compared to what these same Christians are doing in Iraq...and have done elsewhere. Think of World War II as a trial run...a chance to learn from mistakes...Nazi thought and practise didn't lose...they won. They may have lost a major battle, but they're winning the larger Fascist War.
