I just googled the word for Peace in Syriac and what should appear but the very same word as in Aramaic...what does that tell anyone who isnīt only readind Aprimīs books? Well, it shows that Syriac and Aramaic are two words for the same thing...like Dr Joseph said....Syria is Aram in older bibles...hence when we call ourselves Suyraye what weīre calling ourselves is Arameans and not Assyrians...it also means that as far as the world is concerned, expecially the world of scholars who are after all called upon for advice and guidance, there is no such thing as an Assyrian language...there is only Syriac or Aramaic....which both mean people from Aram...Arameans. Akkadian, the original Assyrian language is long dead. --------------------- |
