...do the media and neo-cons and most Americans really believe that the Bush Doctrine is a "failure"? If any of them are stupid enough to believe what was said up-front..that the war on Terrorism was supposed to be about spreading democracy, albeit at the point of a gun, to benighted Muslim nations and others, then I supose they're justified and justify themselves and hope to fool us all that the war on Terror was a "failure". But was it? Age-old wishlist conservative positions, resisted so far, were passed in an instant through the Patriot Act...neo-cons became instantly heroic and were able to gut the federal government and civil liberties with our blessings and near-hysterical applause...billions if not trillions were looted...and most of all a steady supply of outraged citizens have been turned into "enemies", guaranteeing that Obama and everyone else will have to act tough, hence making even more legions of dedicated anti-terror-American-style to scare us with for the forseeable future...remember, Obama wants to expand two wars while ending one in Iraq, maybe...and he's been threatening Iran for years now. The Bush doctrine, the REAL one, has been a raging succees, for Bush and his class. To se them and news pundits as well shaking their heads, now, and lamenting the "failed policies" is just so much piffle. No one has yet shown the guts or good sense to say that the war on Terror was INTENDED to create an unending supply of "terrosists", mostly be torturing, killing, impoverishoing, raping and infuriarating millions of Muslims and poor people around the earth who want nothing more than to strike back at the United States for what it has done to them....and in this desire they have a good example from the United States which justified itself in strikign at people for ALLEGEDLY posing a threst to it...how muchy more, then, are Muslims justified in lifting a page from the Bush Doctrine, except that in their case they are fighting back against people who REALLY attacked them!!! It was a success, folks...not a failure. It's just that it succeeded at what it DIDN'T admit up front...and failed at the stupid things it said it meant to achieve. To believe these people is to turn your own brains into mush. --------------------- |
