Okay, so I chose that title to keep our 200 new readers interested. It’s really aimed at Don, but it has to do with “motels” as well, in a way. As we all know by now Maggie has thrown a hissy fit again, taken what few marbles she arrived here with and gone home. But it isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last…and I suspect strongly there’ve been many other times in her checkered career as den mother to Assyria, brood hen to us little ugly ducklings. The motel enters into it because it has to do with the other topic which drove Maggie bonkers the last time. This was the term used by another Assyrian to describe the “office” location of one of those “university” diploma-mills from which you can buy any sort of degree you want, bachelors, masters and doctorate in something laughably refered to as “life experience”. These scams are run from P.O. box numbers and the “university” is someone’s breakfast table or smoke-filled motel room out by the interstate. There are no buildings, no campus, no teachers, no nothing but a bank account to receive “tuition and fees” and a telephone number that is answered by the scam-operator or his peroxided blonde, assistant-to-the-president, at the “university” whenever a prospective employer calls to verify a resume…or a new student telephones for an application which will be “evaluated” by the “director of admissions”…the blonde again. This scam, having apparently grown to alarming proportions, the United States Government’s “General Accounting Office” (GAO) chose four such diploma mills to investigate. Their report shows the university listed on Dadeeshoo’s motel doctorate to be one of the four…it’s called Pacific University something-or-other, can’t remember…and you, Don, will be pleased to know there’s no Ivy anywhere. The report pretty well lays these scams bare. On top of that, a few years ago the Modesto Bee, a small but surprisingly competant and respected newspaper conducted its own investigation of Dadeeshoo as part of an article on influential hucksters in the Central Valley, a place well stocked with manure anyway. They spoke directly with whatever colleges listed on his resume and found out no one knew of him or had any records at the legitimate university he claimed as the source of his first degree. The newspaper, of course, gave Dadeeshoo the chance to respond before going to print…and, also of course, he didn’t because he has no such legitimate degree to show. However, after the story came out, he had his shyster lawyer write a letter threatening to sue the newspaper if it ever mentioned him again…which, needless to say, the newspaper had no intention of ever doing again, having disposed of him in one story and moved on to other matters. I`m not sure if Dadeeshoo has any legitimate bachelor`s degree or, if he has, it was isued by the actual university he listed. But his doctorate, if he means to imply by it that it would satisfy any requirement anywhere, but in Ceres and among us, for an accredited one, is pure horseshit... It is final confirmation that such stories are true when the rat bastard they expose waits till after he could have provided the evidence, thus avoiding the whole thing and never provides it after the story is out, as a nifty way to embarrass the editors, but rather gets his lawyer to threaten action, “if you do it again”….the judicious person will ask, “why would they want to do it again”? They just did “it”…and why would you make a legal fuss about stopping them a second time, when you failed to stop them the first…which would have spared you a “second time” and lawyer’s fees for writing a letter? It was Tiglath, I believe, who posted the report and I took it up, most pleased that my sense about Dadeeshoo had been confirmed…that while he is very good at what he does, what he does never needed an advanced degree, unless it was necessary to puff himself up in stolen feathers in order to impress the villagers of Assyria…and if he did it once and in such a lame and cynical way, what else might he have done, or do, along the same lines? This sort of thing doesn’t do anyone, but the rat-bastard doing it, any good…the rest of us come out the poorer for it…and it’s a good indication of the sort of feelings for “us”, or rather “uses”, these “passionate nationalists” really have. Enter Maggie, in full Seminole drag, hair streaming, feathers flying, war paint in place…screaming bloody murder and lunging at anyone in sight…but mainly at poor Tiglath who was at that time trying to convince his lovely soon-to-be wife that he was really the sober sort of fellow meant for her and her father needn’t worry…when Maggie took aim and unleashed a string of tomahawks, arrows, war clubs, spears, furniture and her Native, Grand Canyon of a brassiere at him. She next took me to task for commenting that I’d always known the damfool had no legitimate advanced diploma and couldn’t imagine why he thought he needed to claim one, and pay a few thousand dollars for it too, when no one ever had to have a doctorate to run a Bingo hall before. Tiglath and I, alarmed at this sudden transformation in a person who, until then, had seemed able to carry on rational discussions, as we were in the process of doing, was instead throwing all sense and caution to the wind to hike her intellectual skirts so far above her head that we could see France, intellectually speaking...and you know how the French feel about soap. Something wasn’t right. Tiglath and I tried to remain calm, as you can see I tried to, at first, this time around. But Maggie is one of those people who mistakes courtesy for weakness and her own intransigence for “guts”. As she mistakes Dr Joseph and his book as an “attack on Assyrians”. Tiglath, being more gentlemanly than yoors trooli and having his fiancé to dally with, retired after a bit. I, on the famous other hand, refused to allow Maggie to have the last word on the subject because I know this is all she, and the other nationalist, ban-happy swine, believes “wins” a point for her…as in; the last person standing, after she detonates herself in our midst, was intellectually and morally in the “right”…a sort of early Medieval trial-by-combat. I refused to be blown over or submit to such a barbaric method of arriving at the “truth”, then as now…and things got hotter and hotter till Maggie found herself “insulted”, as any mad dog would, when kicked in the head, because it won’t stop foaming at the mouth if you pamper it. Considering this latest, most recent, variation on her theme, I see now, whether consciously or not, that this is Maggie’s “escape plan” when there’s nothing left to chew on…it is the way in which she can “honorably” justify, to herself, leaving the field of carnage and mayhem while anybody is left still standing. Once “insulted”(as in her state of self-induced dementia who couldn’t be?), Maggie can retire “with honor” and, if she’s really lucky, take any number of “bright young minds” with her, incensed at the way their mentor has been cruelly used. Never noticing, of course, that THEY just got used. In that other case she demanded that Tiglath and I conduct our own and more “thorough research” into Dadeeshoo’s doctorate before “jumping to conclusions” which was, she said, “unscientific” of us…I believe these two words “thorough research” is all she got from whatever introductory sociology course she took and that her understanding of the word “science” is equally ditzy and self-serving. What she understands these things to mean, or to be corrupted to assert, is that you can never do “enough” research. If this came from someone with more honest intentions and a finer pedigree, would be true. But, as employed by her or wielded, rather, becomes her weapon-of-choice for killing debate. No matter what your “research” finds, or what you base your opinions on, no matter how thorough…she will always say, “you need to do more”, as she kept insisting Dr Joseph “HAS TO DO”, or else shut his mouth. This is her ploy, not taught in any college, to negate all the extensive and excellent research already done and, if you should persist with discussion anyway and in confidence, thinks she has “proven” that you are both mean and oppressive and have an “agenda after all”. As they ALL eventually accuse each other of. The GAO and Modesto Bee had researched that other matter thoroughly enough to satisfy any honest doubt, especially the Bee which is always careful not to bring down on its modest financial resources a serious lawsuit. And they reached the inevitable conclusions, as has Dr Joseph from his thorough research into what he asserts, which no amount of more and more “thorough” and “additional” research will affect. And, it should be pointed out that in Dr Joseph’s case, the hypothesis and the sources for his conclusions were first published over two decades ago, even longer than the article about Daddeeshoo and his motel-diploma came out…and in all that time, aside from screaming and swearing, neither Dadeeshoo nor Maggie have been able to do any “more thorough” research into their OWN claims, except to threaten lawsuits and a “book” that will tell our “real story”, which Fred Aprim’s “publishers” will no doubt be happy to receive a check to “publish”… and who knows but that it’s the same peroxide blonde who will set the type…to the hype (couldn’t resist). And, to add her own insult to the injury she has done to herself, she has called this obvious ploy to get away from a threatening subject, “scientific”. It isn’t normal science or research she’s referring to, it’s that you must stop questioning or even mentioning what she fears, until you have that never-attainable-but-hotly-demanded “thorough” proof…and so the thing never ends. This is not "science" but to turn masochism and self-loathing into an art form…to all but turn around and bend over, in a manner of speaking, showing the world just what you’re made of. My response was that the GAO and Modesto Bee seemed to have done enough, and that in all the time that has passed since, Dadeeshoo has produced no such diploma but only threatened to sue etc. I said it was ridiculous to demand that Tiglath and I, with hardly a fraction of the resources at hand that the Federal government, or a newspaper, has at its disposal, should mount our own “investigation”, when two very good and thorough-enough ones had already been completed…where would we begin if not at the same places already mentioned by the GAO and the Bee…and what would we find there any different from what those two agencies found? What was the POINT, I asked…not realizing that the point, then as now, was to end further discussion on a subject Maggie didn’t want discussed, with the claim that “more research” needed to be done before anyone should continue so “rashly” etc. Being tired of Dadeesho, Maggie and motels by then and having other things to write about, I said it was silly and an obvious ploy to get us off the subject…and when I wondered why she would want to do such a thing..and why she was carrying on so when, in a private email to me, she had admitted the whole thing was true…and I had ventured to guess that perhaps she too had some similar diploma-mill in her past…she took umbrage at my, by then, colorful speech, got herself “insulted”, as a “woman” no less, and stormed off never to return, consigning us all to hell and damnation. But, return she did…and she will again…once she cools off and downs a mountain of valium. The point to all of this being that you should hesitate to allow a punctually hysterical Diva…a woman who knows not how to get out of the corners she paints herself into, with purely immature emotional, at that, and not intellectual “paint”, except by forcing an “insult” to be issued because, by then, she’s lost all reason and is prime to be insulted, if that’s all that will stop her rampage and allow her to retire…to influence you or concern you too much. And, lest Maggie make a mountain out of this reference to “emotions”..as a way of claiming she is being stereotyped for being an “emotional” woman…let me assure you that there are tons and tons of emotional women and men, who have learned how to rein their emotions in so they can be an asset and not a war club…for it is ever true that the very “sensitive” among us, turn out to be immature in their sensitivities and not profound or poetic, which is how they see it, since they are too immature to understand the difference. I’m perfectly willing to see you go, if you feel you must…but I’d hate to see your essentially noble character played upon, so that out of a mistaken sense of loyalty, you felt you had to leave…which is Maggie’s overriding concern right now, so that, as she wasn’t able to shut down debate, which she obviously hasn’t..and since she surely wasn’t able to prove anything intellectually or factually lacking in the first nine pages of Dr Joseph’s book, has chosen instead to engage in this sort of insane demonstration, as a way of pulling her brilliant young “brood”, the “hope of our future” etc. by which she really means nothing more than the further loading up with asinine beliefs and the crippling of intellects by replacing a reasoning mind with a raging torrent of uncontrollable passions as a substitute for reasoned debate… out of here with her. People are free here…but they need to take responsibility for how they handle that freedom…indulge in it any way they think they can defend and the more power to them…but not seek to pull a fast one on us and become enraged when it doesn’t work.
