Ok....Islam is the WORST religion ever....so?

...and let´s agree that Judaism was also the WORST religion ever, a few years back...does that mean the Holocaust was ok?

..what does the QUALITY of Islam, or its teachings, have to do with anything?

..Muslims are angry at the way they are being TREATED...not about what we think of their religion...which may be the reason that all of a sudden we´ve decided we must make fun of Muhammad...because that infuriates Muslims and maybe , we hope, they´ll do something about it so we can point out how bad their religion is..."look!...it even makes them hate CARTOONS"!

..we used this it´s-a-bad-religion once before to justify murder and torture and child kidnapping and a Holocaust...we believed it THEN, believed it gave us the moral excuse we needed to do those horrible things...I have no doubt that had it been necessary, a Hitchens and Dawkins and Harris could have been found then to criticize "all religion" but would have come down hardest of all on Judaism.....but we´re done with Judaism, it´s Islam´s turn now and lord bless us but we´re using the SAME standard set of arguments..."Islam is BAD...it makes people do BAD things".....are we for REAL?

What about the Christians who DID those bad things to Jews...are they good Christians? They certainly thought so...their Church thought so.

The issue is not how good or bad Islam is but what pretexts are Christians giving for murdering Muslims? What?...liberating them?....giving them new regimes....? Once again Christians are destroying a country in order to save it...Libya, this time. It´s the old Christian notion left from the Inquisition that you are justified, even held in high esteem, if you save a man´s soul even at the price of killing his body.

What does it matter how bad Islam might be...the fact still remains that murdering people for their religion is a BAD idea...and the religion doing it today is in no moral position to condemn any other religion...period.

If Islam was a "good" religion we would NOT be warring with oil-rich nations? Did Europeans live in peace with one another all those centuries culiminating in WW II because they were all CHRISTIANS? Hell no...they murdered each other by the MILLIONS, and all of them good Christians. Does trying to prove Islam is a bad religion remove the stain of greed from our actions..like it doesn´t matter what we do to them and their countries and children because they have a BAD religion?

...is THAT what these athiests are really about in this sudden mad rush onto the airwaves and internet with condemnations of "all religion"...but a lot more against Islam? Is it so we feel justified in what we do in the MidEast...cause they have a BAD religion?

In the end that´s what made me so disappointed and critical of Hitchens and the rest, even though I admire and appreciate their condemnation of "all religions"...it´s they were, unconsciously, or unconsionably, aiding and abetting the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Muslims, many of them children. They were giving dangerous ammunition to politicians, which is to say corporate heads, to do as they please, because bright minds like Dawkins and Harris were providing the rationale needed....instead such humane intellects should have said "it doesn´t matter WHAT kind of religion Islam is or isn´t...as it shoulsn´t have mattered what kind of religion Judaism was, what matters is that you cannot use religion as an EXCUSE to murder innocent people"...that´s what was always missing from these debates and speeches.

It would be like exposing how bad Judiasm was, in Nazi Germany, while claiming to be merely an atheist and intellectual who happened to pick THAT time to give what you told yourself was merely an intellectual assessment of Judaism...that was NOT the time to do so...and this is NOT the time to be condemning ALL religions...or any religion, but you´re own, because it is your own that is doing the murdering.
