What makes a people the rightful owners of a land? It's not religion because we can't prove which one, if any, is right. Is it the period of actual inhabitance? For example, Greece is for the Greek because they lived there for thousands of years. But if that is true, then a land taken from me by force will cease to become mine if the thief was able to keep it for a sufficiently long period. Likewise, the Palestinians will not have the right, say after 2000 years, to kick the Jews out. If that is not so, then don't the Jews or the Native Americans "who've been there before" have the right come back one day and restore their lands? --------------------- |
