Let’s see if I got this right....if you’re bad and wicked and fornicate and steal and disrespect God, he’ll send misery and punishments your way because you “sinned against the Lord” and had it coming...But, if you’re good and meek and mild and patient and uncomplaining and don’t sin against the Lord,, he’ll STILL send misery and punishments your way, because he wants to “test you”...see how much you can take without cursing him like he richly deserves for being so fickle and having nothing better to do. If those are the rules you might as well fornicate to your heart’s content because that Old Coot is gonna get you either way.

It seems bringing people misery is his one true calling...no matter how you behave or how he sets it up.
