...Bet-Shlimon is just a typical example of a Christian who sings the praises of what Jesus TELLS him he should do...but doesn't. And yet, the fact that Jesus WANTS him to do such "good" things, is enough for this fellow...who hates Jews and Muslims and who knows what else. His big effort is to prove that Islam MAKES people killers and rapists etc. While he might be forced to admit that Christians do all the same stuff, he takes great satisfaction in pointing out that Christ WANTS them to do differently...as if that makes any difference to the final outcome. Here are Christians, after 200 years of war...after two World wars with millions of innocent people killed, after the Holocaust, after Korea and Vietnam and Somalia, after Iraq with 700,000 children, under five, starved to death..and now wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan, telling us that Jesus says "DON'T DO THESE THINGS"!...but they do them anyway. from this, Bet-Shlimon derives a sense of superiority and self-righteousness....to him his religion is merely a noble-sounding cover, a rag behind which he can hide his bloodthirsty yearnings and hatreds....he once hated Jews too, for their religion alone...and now he hates Muslims for the same reason..and yet this goon is a proud follower of a "Prince of Peace". Except for one thing; if Muhammad wants his followers to kill and kill and kill for Islam...why haven't they listened to him? Why haven't they started world wars...why haven't they declared wars against countries half a world away who never did a thing to them...why haven't they murdered all Christians in their lands, or forcibly converted them, all these hundreds of years when they could easily have done "what Muhammad told them to do"....why haven't they DONE what Bet-Shlmon syas they were, and are, TOLD TO DO? This recent tragedy in Ft Hood...maybe the real tragedy is that a Muslim felt conflicted about being sent to kill other Muslims...something that apparently never bothered a Christian...indeed, no one has killed more Christians than Christians...maybe they know something we don't? --------------------- |
