..it was Jesus...or Abgar. I understand your point...but you refuse to address mine...maybe because you understand it too well. I say once we made that first Division...away from Ashur...we set ourselves on a path of dividing whenever we found ANOTHER good reason to...Abgar felt he had good reason...Mar Bawi felt HE had good reason...even Jesus felt HE had good reason to...and inbetween any number of Assyrians have found good reason to join a dizzying array of Christian sects...if wasn't Mar Bawi's fault that he too found a better "cure" in division...as Abgar did.

...so? My comment had to do with dividing...whatever the reason...the North certainly had good reason to exact revenge on the South...but Lincoln refused to do it...it seems you didn't learn that lesson either.

...these are mere details....they will always occur...I'm talking about the overriding principle....it is a bad idea to divide AND expect "unity"...or call for unity. There is NO unity in these sects and there never was..long before Mar Bawi nailed his own objections to a church door...it's happened before..it will happen again...but Mar Bawi's action is not the FIRST time...it won't be the last. You can yell at Mar Bawi as the pope yelled at Martin Luther etc...but people WILL divide and branch off....

The real damage was done when we first divided away from Ashur...Mar Bawi is simply carrying on in that time-honored tradition of "shopping around"....begun by Abgar...why get mad at Mar Bawi while you praise Abgar?
