I think people like Nader, Chomsky, Glenn Greenwald, Amy Goodman, and most of the authentic progressives on the Left are keenly aware that they're under the scope of the corporate pawns of power who pass themselves off as intellectuals or journalists, that they have to be absolutely sure about everything they say or else one little mistake and what credibility they have is completely demolished and continuously attacked by these attack dogs of the MSM. Like Chomsky says your're either a public intellectual or an establishment intellectual, and if you are the former, then you must be accurate in what you say or write regarding your position. People like Nader or Chomsky don't have the luxury to make those mistakes. Chomsky, if you've noticed, like Finkelstein, purely goes by information based on internal records, he doesn't make assumptions, or else he'll be another conspiracy theorist like every other toothless, meth-head paranoid hillbilly. --------------------- |
