If the US left Afghanistan now and would stop all its dirty work after that, it would still probably take many years for things to be normal again. Iraq is no different. It would take decades for things to even be close to how they were in the 60s, 70s and 80s. We must remember that both these countries were ruined by the US, the same people who later decided to "liberate" them. Iraq was once a very prosperous country and very, ver, very few iraqis left their country prior to the wars. It is also ironic that most christians only started leaving in the last two decades, and only after wars by the west. This kind of looks bad on aprim when they say "diaspora" and that they fled because of muslims and persecution. They seemed to have stayed all them years and in spite of all the "persecution" and "convert or die" stories found on aprim's site. --------------------- |
