You are the lunatic so far on here and has a hatred toward Muslims. >Why bother, except to say that it is unfortunate that all of your anger at the "West" (where I assume you live) has allowed you to justify the real persecution of minorities in other parts of the world. He has not justified anything like that nor does Pancho hate the west. It is xtians who always label every crime by any asshole as a "Muslim crime" while it is xtians that have murdered more people than anyone. Historically, minorities lived well under Islam and the sharia protects the rights of minorties more than even America does but there is no Islamic state currently, therefore, no jizya being collected. Iraq has been without a real and stable gov't for 7 yeras now and one can expect criminals to be loose and able to do whatever. I can tell what you refer to as "persecution" is either "prosecution" in reality or simply things that all Iraqis have suffered from in recent years, and nothing specific toward xtians. Of course, there will be sick and criminal minded people everywhere and that should be expected even more in Iraq. > >Minorities (Christian, Jewish, Zoroastrian) have historically fared better under Muslim rule. But that simply does not justify or excuse discrimination against them, which you all seem to believe is fictional. It's not. I don't have the time to play your silly games (defending religious lunacy to spite the evil West). Jews have been persecuted by xtians historically and so did others. It seems that you want to forcefully paint Islam with the same brush. You get your "truth" from Fred Aprim or Zinda and expect to be as reliable as the works of well recognized historians and authors. Everything that Fred Aprim or even you claim is happening to xtians in Iraq is happening to Muslims in Iraq even more. More Muslims have been threatened, killed, executed, kidnapped, robbed, and had their homes taken from them. This is what thugs, thiefs, and other criminals do when wanting to get rich in dirty ways. No justification for persecution no matter where. >It always strikes me as odd that you guys use the West as your whipping boy to justify violence committed in the name of Islam, and yet you all live in the West. But since I am neither a religious fanatic (like you), nor a Republican, I will not suggest that you leave and go back to the tolerant lands of Islam. Freedom of expression is something I value, and is something that is lacking in most of the Muslim world, unfortunately. I wonder why that is. I am a westerner myslef and I love my country. It is okay to have different views and express them. As for such values lacking in Muslim countries, one must ask who created the modern "muslim countries"? It was the west who colonized those countries and installed it with puppets who oppress their own and get their pockets rich and the pockets of those who appointed them. Free speech, etc are all part of Islam and from the earliest days Muslims used to engage in diaologues, disagreements, debates etc. The founding fathers even borrowed from Islam when creating the constitution and this is a fact. Thomas Jefferson read the Quran and Islamic sharia. Everything from human rights, dignity, freedom of religion to speech is all sanctione dby Islam. Islam is not oppression but the opposite. The Prophet(pbuh) said "do not oppress and do not become the oppressed" and in another traddition he said "the greatest jihad is to speakout to a tyrant ruler". There are many more tradiotions and verses in the Quran which make this clear. You assume that Islam opposes those things but this is purely hollywood Islam or the stuff we see on the media. There is a huge difference between Islam and Muslims. What some asshole in Saudi Arabia, Sudan or wherever else does is not Islam. There is no Islamic state currently and hasn't been one since the Ottoman empire. When Muslims were doing Islam and truly living by it, the Islamic world was the leaders of science, education, philosophy, technology, etc. Islam had an empire which stretched over 3 continents and people of various faiths lived together in peace, and prospered. It was Chrsitians who gave us the "dark ages" and currently many Muslims are living in a "dark age" which is partially their fault and partially the fault of others. > You all have fun denying the many atrocities committed against minorities (from the Armenian genocide to the ethnic cleansing of Christians from Iraq). The Armenian genocide is actually debated and denied by mostly xtian nations because its evidence is not reliable. The few nations that have acknowledged it have done so without actually studying both sides and all sources. Turks have challenged people making such accusations and it seems like it is those making the accusations that are running from debates. As for ethnic cleansing of xtians in Iraq, this is definitely a myth because it is in Iraq and Muslim nations where our people know their language while it is in western nations that they are forgetting themselves. Since you used the word "ethnic cleansing", I know where you sources come from and now I know why you have no "time to waste". I love this excuse of yours and I hear it from all of you bigots. > Take care. you too --------------------- |
