Since you brought up Nazis and sports in America (political rallies), I was reminded of a brilliant propaganda film by the infamous (or famous) German filmmaker, Leni Riefenstahl, whose Triumph of the Will was a great triumph for the Nazis, while at the same time, a triumph for film making due to it's innovative, beautiful black & white photography and editing. Check out the scene when Hitler's plane lands among the sea of Germans and then watch Bush's orchestrated landing on the USS Lincoln... makes one wonder where they came up with that idea.
