Then they get mad at me for saying work is slavery. Actually it may be worse than slavery because a slave don't have to worry about expenses, bills, etc. We are doing the same thing. We work, wait on that little check and that's not even enough to live with. The slave, especially in some cultures, had clothes, food, and enjoyed other things. Work is slavery and the master has become wiser by getting sympathy from the worker. You see them defending the master by saying why should he pay you for a long vacation or why should he give you time off because you chose to have a child, that's your own business. The master is never called a thief for stealing but let a peasant steal a pair of sandals and he won't be sparred the wrath of Christians. And they know they are doing something bad when they ask you on applications if it's okay to steal from your place of employment just because you are underpaid. Why ask this question in the first place? One would think a people so fascinated with brackets and little labels which divide people would know that statistics show in places with high unemployment, poverty, etc, crime is higher. Why was it that we never felt threatened walking in the streets of Berlin at all hours of the night? Because we don't have poverty like in America, people work, get paid and have money. Those who don't work, or can't work, still have money and live better than the slave worker in America. --------------------- |
